Incompetent Staff

The office staff at Catawba Valley Neurosurgery is borderline incompetent. They did not send my meeting notes to their transcriptionist which delayed my MRI 3 days even though they assured me when I left the office at 2PM that the MRI would be scheduled the following day. Every time I call no one remembers speaking to me and they never state who they are when you call. They are patronizing and sarcastic and put in the minimal amount of effort to get things done. I called 9/15 at 9AM to request Dr. Miller call in a prescription for a steroid due to a flare up with a ruptured disc and it is 10AM the following day and they still are unable to tell me if a prescription will be called in today. The steroid prescription should not be an issue because at my last check-up he stated he would be happy to do this if I had a flare up. I was simply told they put the message on his desk. I stressed the matter was urgent and they apparently do not make a distinction in their messages. I would like to think they would hand him messages of an urgent nature. When I asked if they could get him to call it in by noon today they stated ever so sarcastically yet pleasantly “they would try”. Dr. Miller is an excellent doctor but his staff is the worst I have ever encountered. I am seriously considering switching doctors just so I do not have to deal with his staff.
